PMC should provide adequate space for burial ground in Kausarbaugh; Nanda Lonkar writes to PMC

The spike in Covid19 cases and lack of medical infrastructure, delay in diagnosing the health problem has led to many deaths in the last one year.

Like hospitals where there are hardly any beds available, similarly, even burial grounds are falling short of space due to increased deaths.

Pune Municipal Corporation Corporator Prabhag 26 Nanda Lonkar on April 12, 2021 met the Additional commissioner of Pune Rubal Agarwal and informed her about the need of more space in the Rahatbaug Trust in Kausarbaugh area of Kondhwa.

Lonkar was accompanied by Leader of Opposition Deepali Dhumal, Bholasingh Arora, Moinuddin Khan, Iqbal Shaikh, Bapusaheb Mulani, Yuvraj Lonkar,. Mohsin Shaikh, Raju Adagale, Abid Sayyed.

Nanda Lonkar said, “The current space at Rahatbaug Trust crematorium is insufficient. We have asked PMC to hand over the remaining space so that it can be put to use.”
