Pune Baner: NCP Youth Leader Jayesh Murkute Alleges Abuse, Pushing and Threats by Baburao Chandere and Three Others; Non-Cognizable Case Registered
Baner | December 10, 2025, A 24-year-old political leader, Jayesh Murkute has accused former PMC Standing Committee chairman and ex-corporator Baburao Chandere, along with his son Sameer Chandere, of issuing threats and attempting to intimidate him during a confrontation in Baner on December 6.
Jayesh Sanjay Murkute, working president of the Kothrud Assembly unit of the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar faction), stated that the father-son duo used abusive language, threatened him and tried to physically intimidate him. He claimed the incident was an attempt to suppress emerging youth leadership ahead of the civic elections.
According to Murkute, the episode escalated when Pune Municipal Corporation officials allegedly attempted to enter private property at Survey No. 13/3 without notice, consent or due legal process. He alleged that officials made the move under pressure from the Chanderes and tried to install a third pipeline on the land.
Murkute said he opposes any form of coercion. He added that he will pursue the case legally and will not bow to threats or political pressure. A complained has been filed under BNS Sections 115 (2), 352, 351 (2), 3 (5).
