Pune Couple’s Gold Worth Rs.4.95 Lakh Stolen While Stopping for Vada Pav

In Pune, a couple’s gold jewellery valued at ₹4.95 lakh was stolen while they paused to buy vada pav after picking it up from a bank. The incident took place on Thursday outside Rohit Vadewale’s shop in Shevalwadi.
According to reports, the 69-year-old complainant, who lives in Whitefield Society, Manjri Budruk, had visited the State Bank of India’s Uruli Kanchan branch to retrieve jewellery. After collecting the jewellery, the couple stopped at Shewalewadi for vada pav while returning home on their motorcycle.
According to the information received, the couple left a bag containing the jewellery and important documents attached to their motorcycle. Thieves took advantage of their absence and stole the bag from the motorcycle. Upon returning, the couple discovered the theft and immediately reported it to the police. Police personnel Shrikant Pandule is currently investigating the case.
