A massive fire broke out on the eleventh floor of Majestique Euriska society near Delhi Public School in Mohammadwadi on 6th February at 1:15 pm.

Fire personnel first safely moved about six residents (4 women, 2 men), who were on the terrace due to fire, to a safe place and started dousing the fire with water. Also, a big danger was avoided by taking precautions to ensure that the fire does not reach other parts of the building. In about twenty minutes, the personnel brought the fire under control and continued cooling.

All the belongings in the flat of the building were completely burnt. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. There were four residents in the flat when the fire broke out.

Since the fire was huge at the place, 8 fire tenders along with a high ladder fire vehicle were sent to the location. Citizens thanked the fire personnel for putting out the fire in time and avoiding a big danger. Under the guidance of PMC Chief Fire Officer Devendra Potphode, fire officers Kailas Shinde, Sameer Shaikh, Pramod Sonawane, Pankaj Jagtap, Rajesh Jagtap, Subhash Jadhav, and around 30 other personnel participated in containing the fire
