Pune News: Two Swept Away by Indrayani River While Taking Selfies in Kund Malya
In a tragic incident on the morning of September 5, two individuals were swept away by the Indrayani River while attempting to take selfies near Kund Malya. The accident occurred around 9:00 AM, causing panic in the area.
The victims are 17 and 22, both residents of Chinchwad village. According to reports, a group of six boys and two girls had visited the Kund Malya Devi temple when both ventured close to the water’s edge to take selfies. Around 9:45 AM, the two slipped and fell into the river, getting swept away by the current.
Local authorities, along with the Wildlife Disaster Response Team from Maval and officers from Talegaon MIDC Police Station, immediately launched a search and rescue operation.
