Pune’s Water Crisis to Be Like Bengaluru’s As Water Sources Deplete Rapidly
The water line in Thergaon had developed leakage on 26 January. Hence, the water supply on 27 January morning will remain disturbed for various Pimpri Chinchwad areas.
As per further information shared by Executive Engineer, PCMC Water Supply Department, due to sudden leakage in the water line near Gravity Sports Club in Thergaon on 26/01/24 in the evening, water supply has been shut in Sector 23. Therefore, water supply to Wakad, Thergaon, Kalewadi, Rahatani, Pimple Nilakh, Pimple Saudagar, Sangvi etc will be disrupted & will come in small quantities in the morning of 27 January 2024.
The Executive Engineer further informs that the said work is being done urgently by the water supply department. Therefore, even though the water supply will be restored till the evening time on 27 January 2024, citizens are requested to use water sparingly and cooperate with the PCMC.
