Schools, colleges and coaching institutes in Pune to remain close till March 14

Pune Municipal Corporation’s Commissioner Vikram Kumar on February 28, 2021 issued an order stating that from march 1-14, 2021, all schools, colleges, coaching institutes shall remain closed in view of surge in Covid19 positive cases.

The letter issued by the commissioner also stated that the restrictions on movement shall remain in force till March 14, 2021 from 11 pm to 6 am. Emergency services such as milk supply, newspaper, medical emergencies, vegetable and fruit supply vendors and organisations shall be allowed to operate.

All schools can continue with their online classes. The new guidelines shall be in effect from March 1, 2021. Those violating the Epidemic Control Act, and Disaster Management Act 2005 (Section 55-60) shall face strict action.
