The assault took place at Khandoji Baba Chowk in the Deccan area while Wagle’s car was en route to a scheduled meeting at Rashtra Seva Dal near Dandekar Bridge. Despite police security, BJP activists targeted Wagle’s car with stones, raising questions about law enforcement performance.

Even after the attack, Wagle managed to reach the meeting venue, where he was welcomed by activists.
