Several districts have recorded temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius, leading to severe cold conditions during early mornings and late nights. According to weather updates for December 29, the chill is expected to persist across the state.
In parts of North Maharashtra, including Niphad, Dhule, Ahilyanagar and Parbhani, minimum temperatures have dipped below the 10-degree mark, intensifying the cold wave. Residents in these areas are experiencing severe cold, especially during dawn and nighttime hours.
City-wise Weather Forecast for December 29:
- Mumbai: The city is expected to witness dry weather conditions. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 33°C, while the minimum may settle near 18°C. Skies will remain clear throughout the day, with mild coolness during mornings and nights.
- Pune: Cold conditions will continue, with temperatures ranging between a maximum of 29°C and a minimum of 10°C. Fog is likely during early morning hours, and motorists have been advised to drive cautiously.
- Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Marathwada): The region will experience a cold morning, with temperatures expected between 12°C and 29°C. Clear skies are forecast during the day.
- Nashik: North Maharashtra remains one of the coldest regions, with temperatures expected to range from 12°C to 29°C. In nearby Niphad and Dhule, the cold has intensified due to temperatures dropping below 10°C.
- Nagpur (Vidarbha): Cold conditions persist with a likely maximum of 28°C and a minimum of 10°C. The sky is expected to remain mostly clear.
