The residents of NIBM road, mainly from RIMS School to Raheja Vista and Ganga Florentina are happy that their prayers for development of Cloud 9 road were answered as the Central Forest department situated in Nagpur gave a green signal.

The undeveloped narrow road starting from Sunshree Kangan to Anandvan Forest gate was causing a major inconvenience to the residents as many accidents, even fatal ones were bothering the residents.

Speaking to Pune Pulse about the development of Cloud 9 road, Nanda Lonkar, local Corporator, NIBM road, she said, “The victory came after five years today, that the forest department gave us the permission. Today is the most cherishable moment of my life. I alongwith Nationalist Congress Party, Pune City, President Prashant Jagtap personally visited Nagpur’s Central Forest Department Office today with Zurmure Naresh, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, IFS, and got the sanction and approval to reduce the slope of Cloud 9 road. It took more than 10 years with the administration to clear all the technicalities before approving the development of the road. This wouldn’t have been possible without Deputy CM Ajit Pawar intervention, who personally followed up the issue with the Principal Secretary of Forest (Central) to approve the road. Also I would like to thank Rahul Patil (DCF, Pune Forest) and my PMC team Avinash Kamthe and Suhas Kulkarni for their assistance and follow up for this project.”
