PUNE: Voting for the Maharashtra Assembly elections began at 7 AM today, with polling stations witnessing steady voter participation throughout the morning. As of 1 PM, Pune district recorded a voter turnout of 29.03%, reflecting an active response from citizens across urban and rural areas.  

The district administration ensured smooth conduct of the elections, with arrangements in place for efficient polling and voter convenience. Reports indicate that voters began arriving early, with a mix of senior citizens, working professionals, and first-time voters participating enthusiastically.  

Polling stations across the district, including key constituencies in Pune city and Pimpri-Chinchwad, operated without major issues, and election officials expressed satisfaction with the process so far. Authorities continue to urge eligible voters to make use of their democratic right and contribute to the electoral process.

Polling will continue until 6 PM, and the final turnout figures will be announced later in the day. 

Voting percentage at 21 constituencies in Pune district till 1 pm is 29.03 percent.
