Pimpri Chinchwad Police nabs miscreants selling LPG cylinders in black

Pimpri Chinchwad Police has achieved a massive success through its Social Security cell teams by bursting a life threatening racket of LPG Cylinders which were being re-filled illegally and then sold in the market. The teams conducted a massive raid on the people in the chain of areas of Pimple Gurav and Sangvi.
Vitthal Kubade, spokesperson of Pimpri Chinchwad Police commissionerate, received a tip through the sources on the the illegal refuel of empty cylinders from the seal packed cylimders and then selling those cylinders in the black market by the unnamed agencies and the delivery people.
Police Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad immediately demanded a raid on the racket spots.
Vitthal Kubade, along with four units of Social Security cell conducted raids on 20/02/21 at Morya Park, Pimple Gurav, Jambhulkar Park, Sangvi, Krushnaraj Colony, Sangvi and Gangurde Nagar, Pimple Gurav.
Police have recovered 281 cylinders re-fuelled from the seal packed cylinders, cylinder refueling kit worth 12,050 ₹. Police have caught 22 cylinder delivery agents in this case.
While alerting the citizens on the racket that was bursted, the IPS Commissioner, Krishna Prakash said, “People should check the weight of the cylinder as prescribed on the tank before taking it away home. This activity we caught was life threatening. More details are awaited in this case.”
