Pune News: Pune Metro shares plan of Khadakwasla-Hadapsar Metro route with PMC

Pune: The Pune Metro has extended a proposal for permission from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) about the Metro route from Khadakwasla to Hadapsar.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Dr Hemant Sonawane, Executive Director Public Relations And Administration, Pune Metro said, “We have shared the proposal of the detailed plan of Khadakwasla – Hadapsar metro route with the PMC. After their approval, we will do the further procedures & begin the work of the metro route immediately.”
Sonawane further informed that after the proposal is approved in the general meeting of the PMC, this project will gain speed and the way will be cleared for the approval from the central as well as the state government.
Also, there was a demand to expand the metro project across the city. Hence, a detailed project plan (DPR) has also been prepared for the extended route from Khadakwasla to Hadapsar along with the DPR for the route from Nigdi to Katraj.
The current Pune Metro service is running in the city from Garware College to Vanaz route. Work has been completed for the route between Garware College and Ruby Hall Clinic. The final trials are underway on the route.
