Samarth Hegde bags gold in Karate Championship held in Wakad

Pune: Samarth Hegde, a kid from Wakad, has won 2 gold Medals in the State Karate Championship held in Wakad on October 29.

As per further information shared by Laxmish Hegde, a resident of Wakad, Samarth Hegde from Wakad continued his good performance in the State Karate Championship. This event was organized by Shihan Ashok Vetal chairman of ISKO Karate Association.

The event was attended by players across Maharashtra State. Samarth was allowed to perform in the opening ceremony of the event which was attended by Marathi Actor Hansraj Jagtap (National Award winner).

Samarth Hegde won 2 Gold medals in Kata and Kumite and also was awarded champion of Champion in the Under 10 age category Kata event. In the same event, Rishit Kumar also won 2 Bronze medals.

Samarth demonstrated excellent skills in the Karate in 2023 and has won several medals across different state and national events. He is coached by Tej Pratap who comes with excellent talent in this sport and has played in the Asian Game Trials.
